Eurovelo es una Red Europea de rutas de ciclismo de larga distancia, que conecta Europa en bicicleta a través de 15 rutas. Una de estas rutas es Eurovelo 1 (Ruta de la Costa Atlántica) conecta Noruega con Portugal, aprovechando la Ruta Vía de la Plata, calzada romana que pasa por Extremadura y en la que se combina patrimonio histórico-artístico, enogastronomía y recursos naturales.
